Are you wondering how to turn “waste” into treasure? Are you eager to experience the interaction between music and design? The answer is here in Creative Music Workshop (I) – “Nothing will be wasted” Upcycling Music. In the workshop, parents and kids are asked to work together, to make recycled bottle made instruments with their own creativity and family style, and the reusable potential of “wastes” can be discovered, the infinite possibilities of creativity can be explored. With the guidance of music instructors and artists, parents and kids are going to play with their handmade instruments and to share the pure joy of music in the interaction with all the audience.

Following his championship of the 18th District Singing Contest in 2009, Michael continued to pursue his music career. As lead vocal and guitarist of the popular street music group "Sollasedo", Michael has gained wide support and was featured in the TVC campaign of MOOV music platform in 2013. In 2014, he released his first CD Single "Skywalker". Michael has also starred in an award-winning microfilm produced pursuant to a Microfilm competition supported by CreateHK. Michael has successfully crowdfunded his upcoming album on musicbee.cc with a very good result of 134% of his funding target. His new songs from the upcoming album have received very positive response from DJs and media.
Kevin Cheung
Looking at the environmental crisis our world is facing, he believes that designers have the
responsibility to re-create the world for the better. Designs have to be sustainable by enriching the
environment, users as well as the society. Instead of continually draining new resources/materials to
create new products, Kevin is experimenting with waste materials, reusing them to create new
products and also collaborating with different NGOs to produce the products locally. He wishes to inspire people to have a new perspective of how products are being made, consumed and disposed.
