Does Typography Matter?

“What typefaces and typographies are preferred for reading on pages, screens and signage?” Often, what seem to be trivial design decisions make a deep cumulative impact on our everyday lives. Among these are the decisions graphic and typography designers make regarding the way we read. How do they affect our reading pleasure, efficiency and efficacy? Drawing from a small-scale empirical user study, four speakers, including design practitioners and academics, will share their insights on the effects of different types, and on how pages and messages are laid out. If you are interest in the designs behind the print, don’t miss this eye-opening dialogue!
