PureHay , the chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Illustrators. He has more than 13 years’ experience working in the animation production and games pre-production. He has taken part in the Fine-art design and post-production for the movie “Astro Boy”.
In 2010, he was the Overall Champion of the Corel Asia Pacific Creative Design Competition. In 2020-2021, he was the Silver & Bronze Award of Japan Illustration Award. In 2008, he was the International Group Champion of the International Character Design Competition organized by “Fluid Friction”.
In 2011, he participated in the “Asia Youth Creation Platform” and exhibited his works at the Pier-2 Art District in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. His illustration works have also been included in Ballistic Publishing’s three global collections of Digital Art – “Expose, Exotique, and IBA”.
Mr. Chan is a practicing landscape architect with academic backgrounds in Architecture, Project Management, Law, and Landscape Architecture. Originally trained to be an architect, he decided in 2007 to pursue a career in landscape architecture and later became director of a leading landscape architectural firm. In 2012 he joined the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) as the founding head of landscape architecture. In 2018 he co-founded Otherland
Mr. Chan serves a number of professional and public consultative bodies as well as NGOs. He is vice-president of
Joel Kwong, an international media art curator, writer, producer, educator and transmedia specialist based in Hong Kong. She is currently the Programme Director for Microwave International New Media Arts Festival and the founder of creative consultation agency SIBYLS. Her curated projects have been shown in many different cities around the globe, and she has been giving talks and lectures in different festivals and institutions, includes Shenzhen Media Art Festival, ACT Festival in Gwangju, National University of Taiwan, the University of Eletro-communications in Tokyo, FILMART, Entertainment EXPO in Hong Kong, etc.
