Converted from a Grade 2 historic building, Oi! is a century-old complex in North Point that provides creative space for various local design and art communities. Boasting great proximity to commercial skyscrapers, transportation routes and the Victoria Harbour, as well as a beautiful lawn and plenty of green areas, this culturally-charged venue truly has the best of both worlds. This year, the open area of Oi! will host an array of DETOUR activities. A fine demonstration of the fusion between art and environment, the space—along with the other five DETOUR sites—now features a brand new architectural setting that illustrates the theme of DETOUR 2013: "Curating the City, Performing the City". As events and the interaction among participants take place both inside and outside the setting, Oi! becomes a harmonic backdrop for the exchange of creative ideas.

DETOUR Fashion Show
7 Dec (Sat), 7pm
With "Mix & Match" as its design motif, the Fashion Show aims to promote Hong Kong fashion locally and internationally. In collaboration with fashion designer Six Lee, the DETOUR curatorial team selects a collection of outfits made by more than 10 designers to create a unique collage of contemporary fashion cultures and an overview of current fashion trends. Primarily featuring Hong Kong and Belgian fashion styles, the show achieves a thematic coherence through the superposition and juxtaposition of individualities.
The chosen designers in the show, including Six Lee, Matt Hui, Vanessa Tao, Jourden, Maria Yeung, Robert and Xiao Li, sharing the same background of overseas education. The group represents a considerable number of young Hong Kong designers who, after spending years studying abroad, have come back home to reconnect with their roots and kick off their careers. Their experience of living in different cultures provides them with a unique opportunity to discover their identity and to develop their own aesthetic style. By blending global vision with a taste of home, these outstanding designers aspire to bring Hong Kong fashion into the international spotlight, and DETOUR offers an ideal platform for them to showcase their creations.
