The relationship between the tram system and the city is developed into a pilot experiment to explore design possibilities of the tram space as an urban interface moving through the Hong Kong Island.Such possibilities take the form of transformations, turning four trams into dining, art or social venues. With these newly-attached social contexts, these trams are given an extra dimension to their identity, while providing passengers with new cultural and communal experiences.
